Job Description – Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer is required to carry out installations, servicing, boiler inspections, repairs and emergency calls for Traditional Espresso Machines and associated Hot Beverage
Equipment, on customer sites and in the workshop unit. They will also aid management with all processes concerning all aspects of Coffee Machine and Hot Beverage Equipment servicing activity. The Service Engineer reports to the Operations Manager and the Director.
Coffee Machine Maintenance:
Installation of single phase and three phase coffee machines at customer site.
Installation and regeneration of water filtration systems at customer site.
Installation of other peripheral coffee machine and hot beverage equipment at customer site.
Repair of single phase and three phase coffee machines at customer site.
Repair of other peripheral coffee machine and hot beverage equipment at customer site.
Boiler Inspections of coffee machines at customer site.
Servicing of single phase and three phase coffee machines at customer site
Reconditioning and descaling of coffee machines and hot beverage equipment.
Repair, servicing, inspection, reconditioning and descaling of coffee machine and hot beverage equipment in the workshop, as required.
Aiding in organisation of stock and management of stock levels
Aiding with the organisation and storage of coffee machines arriving and departing the workshop.
Maintaining a tidy and clean working environment.
To treat other employees with respect and consideration at all times.
To treat customers with respect and consideration at all times.
To uphold a clean and kempt appearance at all times during the working day.
To wear the uniform provided at all times during working hours.
To adhere by and uphold all other conduct and health and safety requirements, as outlined in the employee handbook.
To always fill in service report paperwork upon completion of work and obtain a signature before leaving customer site.
To inform the manager upon completion of each job and any follow ups required.
To fill out all necessary paperwork within a reasonable period of time and hand in to the office.
To aid in the completion of stocktake, service calendar, ordering and any other procedures relating to Coffee Machine and Hot Beverage Equipment maintenance, as required.
To complete their timesheet or similar timekeeping procedure accurately and honestly
