Coffee Machine Field Service Engineer

You will represent the company and ensure that your approach, behaviour and appearance will be in accordance with our high expectations and policies.

As a Technician you will support our customers by delivering “first class” service, diagnostic and customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction by attending client sites and repairing  coffee equipment.

As a member of the technical team you will also be required to collaborate with the Sales and Office teams to deliver a profitable, professional service and deliver results.


The Duties

  • Ensure your work environment is organised so that you create a clean and safe area
  • Installation of coffee making equipment and staff/operator training meeting MPCS protocols
  • Attend ad hoc and emergency breakdowns as advised by the Service Co-Ordinator
  • Carry out annual service, boiler inspections and preventative maintenance tasks as advised by the Service Co-Ordinator
  • Repair equipment efficiently, minimising parts spend and maximising machine “up time”
  • Report usage of parts and take measures to ensure adequate supply of parts are available
  • Carry out annual and ad hoc stock takes as directed by your Service Manager of vehicle stock
  • Use IT systems correctly as directed by Senior Technician and/or Service Manager
  • Maintain Sales and Planning Handbook and Technical Manuals (including online updates)
  • Maintain with care tools, parts/stock, machines, company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and other equipment
  • Participate in training and training courses as directed by the Service Manager
  • Interact and share knowledge of best working practices with (new/existing) colleagues
  • Return used parts, exhausted Brita filters in a timely and most cost effective manner
  • Attend client sites at weekends to perform service repair on equipment at weekends in accordance with the published Weekend Rota
  • Advise the Service Co-Ordinator, Senior Technician or Service Manage of any issues or concerns in a timely way that you encounter with equipment, processes or operation of your day to day duties
  • Maintain professional telephone and face to face contact with clients and colleagues
  • Promote at all times a positive perception 
  • The above operations are conducted with due diligence, due care and in accordance with health and safety policy and legislation
  • Cover for Warehouse & Parts Assistant during periods of absence

What My Client Are Looking For

  • Electrical, installation and engineering qualifications – HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience working and supporting coffee making equipment technically
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Good written and communication skills
  •  Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Methodical
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Full driving licence – history to be provided
  • Ability to work with flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to travel within UK, Ireland and Europe
