Position

The Security Technician role is responsible for both internal and external support. This position provides for onsite maintenance, installation, commissioning and aftersales service in accordance with the company’s contractual obligations.

The position is both customer facing and internally focused and requires the individual to take a leadership in delivering the highest quality service to our customers, end users and internal stakeholders. The holder will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of security systems and equipment provided or adopted by us.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for equipment and spare parts procurement
  • Assist in the scheduling and delivery of contractual agreements
  • Identify and report upgrade opportunities
  • The Security Technician must have the ability to demonstrate their knowledge communication effectively to assist in the training and upgrades of work colleagues
  • Accountable for new equipment, installations and upgrades
  • Accountable for the execution of planned maintenance, callouts and repairs
  • To be able to demonstrate and have a detailed knowledge of how to integrate, install and maintain all aspects of technology and products supplied in-house
  • Work closely with the Maintenance & Installation Supervisor to achieve goals and KPI’s
  • To oversee and manage small projects through to successful and timely completion
  • To execute and deliver any other reasonable duties as directed by management

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 Years’ experience in the Security Industry
  • Experience in Access Control security
  • Experience in CCTV and preferably Biometrics
  • Confident understanding of all systems deployed
  • Be able to successfully communicate with work colleagues and provide clear and accurate information, both verbal and written
  • NVQs and general vocational qualifications within the electrical/electronic skill set desirable
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety codes and regulations
  • Ability to work flexible working hours, travel to and from a range of locations and will involve overnight stays
